The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has restored the expiration dates of Turkey Point units 3 and 4's subsequent renewed licences to 2052 and 2053, respectively, following completion of a supplemental environmental review to comply with a 2022 Order from the Commission.

An International Atomic Energy Agency team of experts has completed a review of long-term operational safety at the Koeberg nuclear power plant in South Africa. Unit 1 of the plant has received a licence to operate until 2044 and Eskom is planning to extend operation of unit 2 until 2045.

Tohoku Electric Power Company announced it has started loading fuel assemblies into the reactor of unit 2 at its Onagawa nuclear power plant in Japan's northeastern Miyagi Prefecture. The reactor has been offline since November 2010 and will become the 13th Japanese reactor to be restarted.
